LINN CO, IA DEATHS, Vol. 4, p. 189: Orison Jesse Wickham, 52 yrs, 1 mo, 20 d.; b. Apr 3, 1861 in IA; d. May 23, 1913 in Cedar Rapids, Rapids Twp of hemorrhage of lungs & stomach and of alcoholism; married; cement laborer. Informant: Florence Brown, wife, knew nothing of husband's Wickham relatives. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, May 25, 1913.

OBIT: separated from wife at the time of his death; resident of Cedar Rapids for 12 yrs at time of death; laborer; had rooms over 117 N. First St.; ill for 3 wks.; son Jesse was staying with him due to his illness and found his body. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Henry and Clarence Wickham of Minneapolis, Aaron and Emma of Golchutt, N. D., Larson, Sarah, Jesse and Louise of this city; and 2 sisters and a half-brother, Mrs. Jennie Thompson, Mrs. Sarah Wickham and Pleasant Dougherty, of OK. (Note: The "Larson" in obit most likely was "Loran".)

LINWOOD CEMETERY RECORDS, LINN CO, IA: tombstone states: Jessie Orrison Wickham.

1990 LETTER TO GERALD WICKHAM FROM CHERIE WICKHAM FARNSWORTH: "The marriage record you sent for Loran Wickham and Myrtle Philip is my father and his first wife. They had one son, Raymond, that I have never located. I know that my grandmother Florence Wickham had married a Gallagher but didn't have the dates that you sent."
