LETTER TO ARTHUR WICKHAM FROM ELLA HEATH: "My mother was born in OH country, my grandfather's name was John Wickham. One of my cousins lives in Ackley, Iowa. His name is William Wickham." Ella also mentioned Berthy Smith Wickham.

LETTER FROM STELLA J. MILLSLAGLE, Coon Rapids, IA, June 17, 1941: "regarding the Wickhams who settled in and around Hardin and Grundy Counties, near Eldora and Steamboat Rock, respectively. They are not exactly blood relation of mine, but perhaps I can give you information which will lead you to those who are. This Eliza Millslagle, who married Bimuel Wickham, is (or was) my father's sister, and Samuel Millslagle, who married Hannah Wickham was his half-brother. Whether Catherine, Rebecca, and Nancy were nieces of his, I don't know, but I do know they were NOT his sisters.
Both Aunt Eliza and Uncle Bim have been dead for years, and they had a son, whose name I can't recall, but I think it was William, He had a son Earl, but I can't tell you his exact whereabouts, now.
As I said before I can't recall enough about the others to be of any value to you, except a few things about the children of Hannah and Samuel Millslagle.
Julia, who married John Violes, had, I believe, 3 children: Etta, who married Rollin Wheeler, and lives in Idaho, Charles (deceased), and Velma, who married a Mr. Hunter, I think. You can write to a Mrs. Claire Quiggle of Milo, IA who can give you addresses and more information, She is a "button-hole" relative of theirs and I believe they correspond occasionally.
Katherine had a large family, but I can't give you any definite information concerning them. Stella Turner lives in Iowa Falls and would be a good source of information. She had no children, so far as I've ever heard. Ellen married a Mr. Arthur Heath, and the last I know of her, she was living in Wheatridge, CO (a suburb of Denver). She has one married daughter, Lois, whose last name I do not know now. So far as I know, Ella is yet living.
There was a another daughter, Rachel, that I notice you did not mention. She married a Levi Callender, and they are both deceased, as are all of their children, except one. They had 4 children: Edith (living at Steamboat Rock, IA) who married a Bert Penelrick, and they had a large family. Then Alta, who married my brother, Ernest Millslagle; she is deceased, but they have 4 living sons, Donald, Ralph, Ernest Jr., and Gerald. (They had 2 other sons, Dale and Rex, and a daughter, Alta Winona, all of whom are dead.)
Rachel and Levi had a son, Arthur, who died when a youth, and a son, Harold, who married a Lillie Peterson, I believe, and they have an unmarried daughter, Lillian. He is dead. My older brother, Ernest Millslagle (who married Alta Callender), can give you more information since he lived in Hardin and Grundy Counties when they did, until he was a grown man. His address is New Virginia, IA.
Oh, yes, I forgot another daughter of Hannah and Samuel. Her name was Carrie, and she was married twice. Her first husband's name was Jas. Gummert; they had 2 sons, DeVere, who lives at Owasa, IA (married). Their youngest son is dead. I can't remember his name. Carrie, upon the death of her first husband, married a Mr. Zufall; she and he are both dead.
P. S. This Mrs. Claire Quiggle, of Milo, IA, can give you information about the Nancy you mention. I just dimly remember that she re-married, upon the death of her first husband (Ott Wickham, I presume), her second husband being a Grant McPherson and their family all lived in Chicago.
P. S. (again) There was a Win Wickham, of Steamboat Rock (deceased) who was closely related to the rest.; his children live around IA, in scattered places. His oldest son was Arthur. If you would write to Mrs. Dora Greenlief, Ft. Dodge, IA, you might get in touch with them. There is also a Mrs. Bertha Wickam, of Iowa Falls, IA. I think she is the daughter-in-law of Bimuel and Aunt Eliza, and she would be able to tell you of their family."
