INFO FROM DAWN ECKRICH: Leonard "Len" Fuhrmeister married Mabel Estella Wickham, daughter of William H. and Mary Aachey Wickham on Aug. 11, 1914, in St. Mary's Rectory, Iowa City, IA, with the Rev. Schulte performing the ceremony. Ray Wickham and Marie Fuhrmeister were their attendants. The couple moved to a farm in Newport Twp, Johnson Co, where they lived for 39 yrs. before retiring and moving to Iowa City. Len then took a job as sexton and outdoor custodian at St. Wenceslaus Church and worked there for the next 14 years.
