INFO FROM BARB BUCK: Hanna Conner's maiden name was Sheppherd and she was raised in Cincinnati, OH. Her grandfather's name was "Beilis" and he was an early pioneer of OH and one day while he was clearing timber on his farm the Indians stuck him with a tommyhock and then scalped. When they were scalping him he came to but had enough nerve not to stir and after they left he got up and went to the house and lived for 9 years.
