HISTORY: In the 1860s a handful of French Canadian immigrants settled in Cloud Co, KS, forming the community of St. Joseph, south of Clyde. Predominantly Catholic, several of the homesteaders had come first from Quebec through Kankakee, IL and finally made their way to Kansas. (Could this have been where Joseph lived?)
Joseph married Jerusha Anna WICKHAM, daughter of Benjamin WICKHAM Jr. and Mary Elizabeth RIDDLE, about 1873 in probably Concordia, Cloud Co, KS. (Jerusha Anna WICKHAM was born about 1857 in IA 2 and died before Jun 1900 in Hastings, Adams Co, NE 3.)
