She was born KS, her father was "Wm. Pfosia" (not Joseph, as listed in marriage record) and her mother's name was unknown. She died of acute dilation of heart. She was buried Nov. 15, 1915 at Linwood Cem.

OBITUARY, The Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette, Saturday, Nov. 13, 1915:
"Mrs. Luella Brown Dies - Mrs. Luella Brown, wife of James Brown, a farmer living south of the city, died at 12:30 a. m. today suddenly. She was 41 years old. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband and their four children. Funeral announcements will be made later."

FUNERAL NOTICE, The Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette, Monday, Nov. 15, 1915:
"Funeral of Mrs. Luella Brown - Funeral services for Mrs. Luella Brown, wife of James Brown, who lives south of this city, were to be held at the Evangelical church, Eighteenth avenue and Ninth street west, at 2 p.m. today, the Rev. Mr. David officiating. Burial was to be made in the family lot in Linwood."
