Ruth Wickham & "Laurence" Kness married Feb 1, 1950.

The Hardin County Index, Eldora, IA - Fri. Feb 3, 950:
Miss Ruth Wickham, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Eldora and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Wickham, and Larry Kness, son of Mrs. Alice Kness also of Iowa Falls, were united in marriage Wednesday after noon at the Congregational church in Eldora. The candlelight double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. R. B. Imes.
Mrs. George Pool, at the organ played "Because", and "Always" and "I Love You Truly".
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, L. J. Wickham of Iowa Falls, wore a white transparent velvet ballerina length dress with decollete' neckline. She carried pink rose on a white bible.
Miss Patricia Clark of Chicago as maid of honor wore a light blue crepe ballerina length dress with gray accessories. She wore a corsage of light pink carnations.
Warren Kness served his brother as attendant and ushers were Donald Clark and Gerald Wickham all of Iowa Falls. Candlighters were Jeraldine Wickham and Robert J. Smith.
The bridegroom's mother wore a wine crepe street length dress and a corsage of creme colored roses.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the Mrs. Sherrill Smith, sister of the bride. Decorations were in pink, blue and white.
Following a wedding trip the couple will be at home at 615-1/2 College Ave. in Iowa Falls. For her going away dress Mrs. Knees wore a white suit with gold accessories and a corsage of pink roses.
The bride attended Iowa Falls high school, and is employed at the Puritan bakery. She was formerly employed by the Community grocery store. Mr. Knees attended Iowa Falls high school and is employed by the Rock Island Railroad.

Ruth Frances Kness, 89, of Ankeny, Iowa and formerly of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away April 14, 2016 at the Mill-Pond Senior Living Center in Ankeny, Iowa.
Ruth Frances Wickham was born April 20, 1926 to Ernest Gilmore and Grace M. [Stipp] Wickham in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She attended the Iowa Falls School District graduating in 1947. On February 1, 1950 she married Larry Raymond Kness in Eldora, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Stephen L.; Debra S.; Mary E.; and George G. During her life she worked at Iowa Vet Supply in Iowa Falls, and also worked at Grace Indexing here in Iowa Falls. Working as an office assistant at both jobs. Ruth Kness was a member of the First Christian Church in Iowa Falls.
Those left to cherish Ruth Frances Kness are her four children: Stephen L. [Arlys] Kness of West Des Moines, Iowa, Debra [Deb] S. [Gary] Lettow of Ames, Iowa, Mary E. [Robert] Samson of San Jose, California, and George G. Kness of Ames, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Ruth Kness was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest Gilmore and Grace M. Stipp; her husband: Larry Raymond Kness; six brothers: Harry, twins: Lesley and Wesley, Donald, and his twin Harold, and Merle; two sisters: Ruby Johnson and Mary Smith; and two unnamed infant siblings.
