LORRAINE JEAN ALTIERI
Born on October 28, 1923 in Ladysmith, WI. At rest on October 27, 2004, in San Mateo at the age of 80. Devoted wife of 60 years to Michael Altieri; loving mother of Janice Leach, Anne Ludlow and the late Michael V. Altieri; cherished sister of Eleanore Wakefield, Evelyn Lytle, Harold Guthrie and Allan Guthrie; dear grandmother of Scott Schadel, Elizabeth Santos, Amy Schadel, David Leach, Michael, Michelle and Allison Altieri, Rosemary, Oliver, Hannah and Emilie Ludlow; great grandmother of eight; loving daughter of Lester and Charlote Guthrie. Also survived by aunt, Florence Ninke, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many precious friends. She loved family gatherings, traveling, playing bridge and an avid fan of the S.F. Giants. Her selfless heart of service blessed many over the years. The family especially wishes to thank her friends at Grace Lutheran Church for their prayerful support and love. She will be missed and always remain in our hearts. Friends may visit on Sunday, October 31, 2004 from 1 to 6 p.m. at O'Connell's Chapel, 1311 So. El Camino Real in San Mateo. Friends may visit at Grace Lutheran Church, 2825 Alameda del las Pulgas on Monday, 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo.
