PRINCEVILLE, IL - Charles F. Richoz, 88, of 415 S. Tremont St. died at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 1994, at his residence.
Born June 11, 1905, in Bloomington to Paul and Mary Caroline Glissman Richoz, he married Mabel Kinah. She died in 1954. He married Ellen L. Foster Taylor on Nov. 13, 1956. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Charles F. Jr. of Southfield, Mich., and Duane L. of Denver; one stepson, Ben F. Taylor of Chillicothe; one daughter, Janet M. Richoz of Princeville; one stepdaughter, Nancy C. Hall of Peoria; one sister, Marie Vickery of Princeton; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandson. Two brothers preceded him in death.
A former member of the Teamsters, he owned and operated Richoz Trucking Co. from 1936 to 1974. He then worked for Long Rock Stone Quarry for a few years.
He was a member of Princeville United Methodist Church, where services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. David Allin will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to his church or to Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service or to Methodist Medical Center Hospice Program.
