1897 - Jan. 21 & 28. Merry, Sally, d. at home of son, Ambrose, Jan. 17, age 93; dau. of Jacob and Margaret Fogle, b. in Pa., 1804, came to Lower Salem, Washington County, 1806; m. 8 April 1824, Rufus Merry, eleven children, three sons and eight daughters; one son and four daughters survive; husband died 1876; a son-in-law, Jacob Fogle bur. Merry Cemetery.

Sarah married Rufus MERRY, son of Ambrose Hunt MERRY and Margaret WICKHAM, on 8 Apr 1824.¹ (Rufus MERRY was born on 23 Aug 1800 in Milford, Otsego Co, NY,^{6 7} died on 17 May 1878 in Enoch Twp, Noble Co, OH ^{6 7} and was buried in Merry Cem, Duvall, Noble Co, OH ⁷.)
