NEWSPAPER CLIPPING, Oct. 29, 1902: Removes to Oregon - Isaac Wickham departed yesterday for Oregon, his objective point being Salem. Mr. Wickham was born on the old Wickham homestead in Auburn township, and for nearly fifty years has been a resident of Fayette county. We regret exceedingly to have Mr. Wickham leave us, but THE ARGO in common with many of his many other friends can only wish him good luck and a happy and prosperous future in the new land.

OBIT: Funeral Services for Isaac Wickham, 84, Held Saturday - Died at Home Of His Daughter Mrs. J. R. Stevens After Illness Of Eleven Weeks.
Isaac Wickham, age 84 years, 8 months and 7 days died Wednesday September 1, 1937, at 10:15 p. m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. R. Stevens at New Hampton. He had been ill for eleven weeks from a complication of diseases due to his advanced years.
Isaac Wickham was born December 24, 1852 near West Union, Iowa, a son of Reuben and Ellen Wickham. He received his education and grew to manhood in Fayette County.
He was married to "Frana" Hammond at Hawkeye, January 17, 1879. Their first home was on a farm near West Union. After several years they came to Chickasaw County and for thirty years lived in the vicinity of Alta Vista. Two daughters and one son were born to them. In March 1934 they came to New Hampton to make their home with their daughter. In August of the same year, Mrs. Wickham passed away.
Surviving his death are his two daughters, Mrs. J. R. Stevens of New Hampton and Mrs. J. W. Strine of Fort Dodge, a son Maurice of Spokane, Washington, two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Woodson of Hawkeye and Mrs. Clara Mayo of Fredericksburg, one brother, William Wickham of Hawkeye, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Wickham was kind and always considerate of his family and friends and will be greatly missed by those who survive him.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the home of his daughter. Rev. James Lilley, pastor of the Methodist church, was in charge. Burial was made in Graceland cemetery.
His coffin was borne by O. C. Hutchinson, Howard Trewin, William Denner, A. J. Holdiman, George Hackman and G. E. Mathias.
Sympathy is extended to all who mourn his death.
