OBIT: The Salina Journal, Nov. 15, 2005: Washington - Virginia Lee Jonte, 69, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005. Mrs. Jonte was born Virginia Lee Shoup on June 29, 1936, in Haddam. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory I. Survivors include a daughter, Roberta Alexander of Washington; two sons, Bill of Kansas City, Mo., and Raymie of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Doris Lange of Washington; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ward Funeral Home, 115 W. Second, Washington. A private family inurnment will be in Washington City Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to be designated by family at a later date. There will be no visitation.
