OBIT. Zanesville Times Recorder, March 7, 2007: ZANESVILLE - Gerald A. "Buck" Wickham, 90, of 2085 Russell Drive, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center. Gerald was born Jan. 20, 1917, in Summerfield. He was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, Zanesville American Legion Post 29 and was employed by Rittberger Meats for 54 years as a butcher.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Beigley Guard Wickham of the home; daughters, Marlene Brandom and Shirley (Ernest) Jenkins both of Zanesville, Linda (Albert Roberts) Zemba of Hopewell, Marilyn (Mike) Steve of Zanesville, Carolyn (Harold) McElfresh of West Salem, and Kim (John) Bintz of Heath; two stepsons, Robert D. (Cassandra) Guard of Zanesville and John H. Guard of Florence, South Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Garfield and Martha Cunningham Wickham; his first wife, Gladys Wickham; grandson, Scott Michael Bintz; two brothers, Ernest and David and one sister, Mildred Rhodes.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, at DeLong-Baker and Lanning Funeral Home, 56 S. Fifth St. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the funeral home with Pastor J. Stephen Harrop officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will conduct military rites at the graveside.
