LAKELAND -- Mrs. Phoebe E. Bailey of Lakeland died of heart failure Friday (March 11, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 80. Born in Michigan on Nov. 21, 1924, she came to Lakeland from Zephyrhills in 1993. She was a machine operator for a seafood plant.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie M. Bailey. She is survived by her sons, James Schrack and Michael Schrack, both of Zephyrhills; daughters, Barbara Williams, Zanesville, Ohio, and Lynn Bowman and Tammie Belcher, both of Lakeland; brothers, Ralph Wickham and Leland Wickham, both of Zanesville, and Jack Wickham, Caldwell, Ohio; sisters, Hazel Moore, Zanesville, and Lucy Edwards, Canton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Florida National Cemetery. Lanier Funeral Home, Lakeland.
