OBITUARY, Noble County Leader, July 24, 1941: Joseph G. Wickham, aged 69 years, of Zanesville, died at 5:00 last Sunday morning in the Bethesda hospital following a year's illness, of complications. A native of Noble county, he had lived in Zanesville for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Archer's Ridge, Noble county. Surviving are his wife, Daisy O., of the home; five sons, Oscar M. Wickham of Chandlersville, Wesley and William of Zanesville, and Kenneth and Raymond of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Hershel Kemp of Zanesville, Mrs. Arthur King of Adamsville, and Mrs. Orville Thomas of Zanesville; one sister, Mrs. Garfield Walters, of Gratiot; six brothers, Garfield Wickham of Zanesville, James Wickham of Summerfield, Charles Wickham of Caldwell and Jerry M., Nathan and "Doc" Wickham, all of Archer's Ridge. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Archer's Ridge Methodist church with Rev. C. P. Stotler of Crooksville, officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
