INFO FROM ROGER GREENOUGH: Dianna and Bill Leach had the good fortune to become moderately prosperous enough to accumulate land in Leach Hollow. At one point owned four farms. They were never, however, fortunate enough to have a family of their (Leach) own. About 1895 they became parents of a foster child - Elisha Hattery. Sometime, after Bill's death in early 1900, Dianna must have adopted Elisha. In the census of 1905 he is listed as Elisha E. Leach. By 1913 she had married Lincoln Burch and had moved to Madison County, NE (from Monona County Land Records for the sale of the original home place).
