Charles W. Stevens, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Henry County Health Center. Born Jan. 29, 1922, in rural Mt. Union, he was the son of Horace Wilson and Daisy Belle Wickham Stevens. On June 20, 1943 he married Joan Esteleen Myers in Mt. Union. Mr. Stevens was a lifelong farmer in the Mt. Union area until 1984. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, brother Robert Stevens of Winfield, sister Frances Seyb of Iowa City. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
