  General Notes:

PARENTAGE: There is no proof that Ebenezer is the son of William J. Wickham but Ebenezer appears to be a brother, or close relative, of Salathiel and Asahel Marvin Wickham. In 1837 Salathiel, Asahel Marvin and Ebenezer Wickham all purchased adjacent land in Noble Co, OH. Both Asahel Marvin & Ebenezer listed their residence as Muskingum Co, OH. (William J. Wickham was the only male descendant of John Wickham who was living in Muskingum Co at this early time, although there were Wickham descendants of Thomas Wickham the Immigrant who were living in Muskingum Co.)
Perhaps William J. Wickham died in 1837 and left each son an inheritance that they used to buy land.
Also, in 1850 both Salathiel Wickham's family and Ebenezer's presumed widow, Hannah, and her Wickham children lived in District 29, Lee Co, IA.

BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, Zanesville, OH land office: On Aug 10, 1837 Ebenezer Wickham of Muskingum Co, OH purchased 41.03 acres of land in Noble Co.
(Note: Salathiel Wickham and Asahel M. Wickham had purchased adjoining land 4 months earlier.)

BIRTHPLACE OF SON: James G. Wickham was b. 1840 in Muskingum Co, OH, according to his Civil War enlistment papers.
(Note: James G. Wickham and Jacob Wickham, son of Salathiel Wickham who was also born in Muskingum Co, OH, enlisted in the Civil War on the same date in Comp. E, 7th IA Infantry.)
