NEWSPAPER ARTICLE. Jan. 6, 1943: Former O. C. Man Awarded 'Heart' - For wounds received November 17 in action in the Solomons, Raymond A. Wickham of the United States marine corps, has been awarded the purple heart medal.
Wickham, who has been in the service for two and a half years, has been stationed in the South Pacific area. He was in active service in the Philippines. He attended school in Oregon City, where he was born. His mother, Mrs. Gladys Cammack, lived here for a number of years, and also attended school here.
Wickham received his training in California, and is the only child in the family.
His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Graham, formerly lived in Oregon City, where his grandmother makes her home. His grandfather is at present staying with Wickham's mother at 3212 S. E. 82nd street in Portland. His grandmother's address is 1220 Thirteenth street, Oregon City.

OBIT, The Oregonian, Sat., July 12, 1986: Raymond A. Wickham - Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wilhelm Funeral Home for Raymond Alvis Wickham, a Southeast Portland resident who died Wednesday in a Portland-area nursing home. He was 87.
Mt. Wickham, born in Oregon City, worked for 32 years for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Raymond C. of Portland; two sisters, Betty House of Oregon City and Jean Gates of Dallas, OR; a brother, Jess E., of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; his father Cecil E. of Sweet Home and three grandchildren.
Entombment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Disabled American Veterans.
