ALTERNATE BIRTHPLACE: Linn Co, IA.

INFO FROM ROGER GREENOUGH: Druzilla & George Leach arrived in Mapleton area about 1874. They lived and farmed in the Leach Hollow area for about 18 years, They then moved to Burt Co, NE, near the town of Decatur. They lived there until about 1901 when they and other Leach and Ball connected relatives decided to participate in the OK Land Lottery held at Watonga, OK. They apparently were not successful in having their names drawn. Due to various misfortunes it took the family 3 years to raise the money to return to IA. Drusilla and George farmed near Grant Center, IA until their deaths in 1919. George died in March and Druzilla on December the 21st. Both were buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mapleton.
