THEORY: There is no proof that Diana is the daughter of William J. Wickham, who lived in Muskingum Co, OH where Diana and Lester were married. However, the family of William J. Wickham was the only family of this Wickham line to live in Muskingum Co. at this time period. Marriages usually took place in the county were the bride lived. (There were other Wickhams living there, but they were of a different clan.) If this theory is true, then Lester and Diana were first cousins.
HISTORY OF BUTLER CO, IA, p. 775:
"The first death was that of Diantha Wickham, April 18, 1858. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Williston Jones."
