Married (Living) in the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa March 21, 1961; later divorced. Married (Living) May 1, 1992; later divorced.
He graduated from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, then attended Northwestern University Law School in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. Joe was a private attorney, a corporate attorney, a Deputy District Attorney for Salt Lake County, and County Attorney for Rich County, Utah. He served in the U.S. Army Security Agency. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. He raised and trained hunting dogs.
Survived by (children and grandchildren). Preceded in death by sister, June Kessler. He filled a unique place in the world and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, 7 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Boys Town, Nebraska, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. (Submitted by Marty Greenlief.)
