NOTE: Founder of the Carl Taylor Orchestras and Entertainment, Taylor was born into a circus family and at an early age, became a band leader. He discovered the McGuire Sisters and helped them along early in their career. Taylor and his wife built up a theatre booking business which served all the major showplaces and industry in the area. For over 40 years, Taylor was a member of the American Federation of Musicians. Taylor retired in 1963 following a paralyzing stroke.
