OBIT: Mankato Free Press (MN), 7-25-2007: Harold "Tarz" L. Tish, 82, of Le Sueur, died Monday, July 23, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee, MN. He was born on July 6, 1925 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Walter and Mary (Collins) Tish. Harold grew up in Iowa and worked as a logger in his early years. He moved to Eagle Lake, MN and continued working in the logging industry. He moved to Mankato for a short time, where he married Joanne Wilmes on August 30, 1950 in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. In 1971 they settled near St. Henry, MN were Harold worked for Selly's Construction Company in Le Center. He has been retired for some time. He is a past member of Eagle Lake Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Fayer and a sister, June Sheets.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne of Le Sueur; children, Mary (Bob) Herrley of LeSueur, Kathy (Dave) Knaack of St. Peter, Harold Jr. (Carla) Tish of St. Peter, Gerald (Lisa) Tish of Le Sueur; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; Siblings, Dorothy Talbert of Grinnel, IA, Kenneth Fayer of IA, Marge (Glenn) Stevens of Des Moines, IA, Larry (Carol) Fayer of Highlands Ranch, CO.
Funeral will be Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and will continue on Thursday from 8:00-10:15 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery in St. Henry, MN.
