Mrs. Mary Harper Is Taken in Death at Dexter City
Funeral Services Will Be Held at Blake Home on Saturday
Caldwell, O., June 25 - Mrs. Mary E. Matheney Harper, 69, widow of the late T.R. Harper of Dexter City, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. O. Miller at Dexter City early Thursday morning following a long illness.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Matheney, and was born and raised east of Caldwell. She lived her entire life in Noble county. The deceased was a member of this First Church of Christ in Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. P.R. Blake in Dexter City Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be made in Olive Cemetery, Caldwell, with the Headley funeral home in charge. Rev. J. Hubert Smith of Caldwell will conduct last rites.
Surviving Mrs. Harper are two daughters and a son, Mrs. P.R. Blake, Mrs. J.O. Miller and Bernard Harper, all of Dexter City. Two daughters, Vesta and Orpha, are deceased. Four sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Nelie Moore, east of Caldwell, Mrs. Alice Mallett, Rado; Mrs. Vesta Mendenhall, Zanesville; Mrs. Josie Epler, near Zanesville; Clyde and Andrew Matheney, Columbus; Clarence Matheney, Bowling Green; and John Matheney, of Cleveland. An uncle, R.J. Matheney, of Zanesville, and several cousins also survive.
