Muriel L. Resner, 76, of Winfield d. Feb. 11, 2004 at her home. Burial will be Friday in Highland Cemetery. Services will be Sunday. Resner was b. May 4, 1928 in St. Louis to Bertha (Hittmeyer) & Louis W. Wickham. She was raised & educated in the St. Louis area until her senior year when she attended St. Johns Academy & then St. John's College, both in Winfield. At college she met Walter W. Resner whom she married April 15, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. She and her husband, a pastor, served several Lutheran churches in Iowa. She and her husband retired to Winfield in 1988.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Resner, Winfield; two sons, Wally Resner, Emporia, and Steve Resner, Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Funke, Sanborn, Iowa, and Sheryl Deutsch, Wichita; two sisters, Lois Horton, Sun City, Ariz., and Lennie Mueller, Parkdale, Ore.; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
