Wellington - WELLINGTON, Gladys M., 78, of Wintersville, Ohio, formerly of Toronto, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008, in Dixon Health Care Center. Born June 14, 1929 in Charleroi, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John and Susan Clarke Walker. Gladys was a homemaker; and Protestant by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Wellington, whom she married May 19, 1972 and who passed away March 17, 1994; four brothers, Bill, John, Tom and Daniel; and three sisters, Florence, Sylvia and Marian.
GIadys is survived by six sons, Charles Mellott and his wife, Mary, of Toronto, Jeffery ?Doug? Mellott and his wife, Lorena, of Cantonment, Florida, Jim Wellington, John Wellington, Bob Wellington and Kenny Wellington; three daughters, Mrs. Judy Wagner and her husband, John, of Salineville, Mrs. Alice Bailey and Mrs. Mary Margerum, both of Florida; two sisters, Miss Marge Walker of Ohio and Mrs. Vera Crane of New York; any many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, April 24, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 1-800-588-1446. A celebration of Gladys's Life service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Highland Hills Cemetery in Follansbee, W.Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gladys?s name may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
Gladys married Charles Roy MELLOTT, son of Cleo Ellsworth MELLOTT and Ruby L. WICKHAM. (Charles Roy MELLOTT was born on 7 Apr 1926 in Jefferson Co, OH,3 died on 29 Sep 1998 in Carroll Co, OH 3 and was buried in Sugar Grove Cem, near Empire, Jefferson Co, OH.)
