HERITAGE OF FAYETTE CO, IA, 1996, p. 206: 'Edward and Ella (Wickham) Miller' - Edward Miller and Ella Wickham married 2-5-1891, lived all their married lives, except for one year, on the home farm three miles northwest of Hawkeye, Iowa. Ed, born 3-8-1868 in Chickasaw Co., came to Fayette Co. with his parents when a child. Ella, born 8-22-1868 in Auburn Township, lived her entire life in Fayette Co.
Ed and Ella had five children, Vera Mabel, Charles John, Maude Helen, Mary Elenor, and Fred William.
Fred Miller and Lydia Sickmeier married 9-12-1928 at her parents' farm home near Waukon, Iowa. They had three children: Ruth Evelyn (11-15-1932), Carolyn Ann (10-20-1934) and William Fred (4-11-1944). William "Bill" Miller was killed in a car accident on 3-12-1966 at the age of 21. He was attending Upper Iowa College at that time.
Ruth Miller married Robert Thein on 8-28-1952. They had three children, Jerry Robert (4-6-1953), Barbara Ann (9-22-1954), and Patricia Ruth (7025-1963). Ruth and Robert Thein were divorced in 1974. On 6-14-1981, Ruth married Clifford Moravetz.
On 7-29-1978, Jerry Thein married Elizabeth LaPointe, a daughter, Martha Elizabeth, was born 2-1-1983.
Barbara Thein married Luke Herscher on 6-17-1979. They have four daughters: Rian Nicole (12-15-1979), Rori Natasha (2-16-1981), Trisha Kelsey (2-9-1985) and Ashleigh Erin (1-25-1987).
Patricia Thein married Michael Smith on 7-18-1993.
Carolyn Miller married John Weidemann on 2-23-1952. Two sons were born, Thomas John (9-29-1952) and Timothy Allen (11-10-1958)). Carolyn was divorced from John John Weidemann in 1973. On 2-9-1975 she married Clayton Judy.
Tom Weidemann married Marsha McBride on 6-24-1976. Marsha had a son, Cory McBride from a previous marriage. Tom and Marsha Weideman had two sons, Jamie Allen (4-13-1977) and Zachery Thomas (10-15-1981). Tom and Marsha were divorced in 1989. Tom then married Tracy Rees on 8-3-1991; a daughter, Erin Anne, was born 3-13-1991. Tracy had three children from a previous marriage: Amy Lynn Theobold (5-23-1979), Daniel J. Rees (9-9-1983) and Maggie Marie Rees (10-26-1985).
Timothy Weidemann married Muriel Prest on 8-2-1987. Their son, Michael All, was born 6-14-1990. (submitted by Ruth Moravetz)
