1941 LETTER FROM MRS. RUTH MILLER of Sarahsville, OH: "Calvin and Elizabeth Wickham was my grandparents my father Alex Wickham was the oldest child he was borned in 1832 there was 5 children of them 4 boys and 1 girl my father Alex was the oldest and there was a Henry he married a harbin they had 2 children both boys Weslie and Willis uncle Henry he volunteared in the Civil War and was killed on lookout Mountain and I don't no much about the boys and my uncle John moved to Mo. but I don't no just what time but they had 8 children when they went there was frank Henry and allie and i don't no how many more there was after they went away or what became of them but John Maried Mary ann Smith and my aunt Moriah that was my fathers sister Maried a man by the name of tomas Shatow and she died with T.B. and that is all I no about her and sanford was Maried to Sarah hanes and they had 2 Boys and 1 girl and he died with T.B. and the girl and 1 boy is dead and I don't no about the other Boy." 1941 LETTER FROM JAMES WILLIAM WICKHAM (son of Alexander): "Alex Wickham was the son of Calvin Wickham. Calvin Wickham was the son of John Wickham. Calvin married Elizabeth Shirley. They had five children - 4 boys and 1 girls. Alex, Weeden, Henry, John and Mariah. Weeden and Henry were killed in the Civl War. John married Mary Ann Smith, then they moved to Missouri. After that we lost all tace of him. Mariah married Tom Shalto (or Shatto?). She died years ago. Alex married Rachel H. Wickham, the daughter of Slathile and Rina Wickham."

2nd LETTER FROM JAMES WILLIAM WICKHAM - "Calvin's father was John Wickham."

3rd LETTER FROM JAMES WILLIAM WICKHAM: "My grandfather, Calvin, married Elizabeth Shirly from Athens County, Ohio. Calvin had a brother whose name was Jason who lived with my father and mother, Alexander and Rachel H. Wickham. This Jason is the brother of those men you mentioned, Calvin, William, James, John, Oliver, Aaron. They came from in around New York but I don't know just where." "Jason was never married. He lived with my father, Alexander, until his death."

4th LETTER FROM JAMES WILLIAM WICKHAM: My mother was Rachel H. Wickham. "Her father's name was Slathail. Her mother's name was Lorana. When mother and grandmother left New York, grandfather went off and they never heard anymore about him. As I was young when they died, I don't know where Calvin or John, his father, came from. Calvin was my grandfather on my father's side. Benjamin was my great-grandfather on my mother's side. John was my great-grandfather on my father's side. I think John and Benjamin were cousins."
