LINN CO, IA RECORD OF DEATH: Mosburg, John E.; 69 yrs, 6 mo, 18 days; died May 31, 1934 at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids of mitral regurgitation and hypertension; married; b. Iowa.

OBITUARY, Cedar Rapids Gazette (IA), Thursday, May 31, 1934: John E. Mosburg of 1212 Fourth street NW and a resident of Cedar Rapids for the last forty years, died at a local hospital at 7 a.m. Thursday. He was born in Jones county, Iowa, Nov. 13,1863, and with the exception of a few years in Kansas he spent his entire life in Iowa. Besides his wife, Lillian M. Mosburg, he is survived by two children, Mrs. T. Bowker and Floyd E. Mosburg, and three grandchildren, all of Cedar Rapids, and three step-children, Harry L. Smith, Mrs. H. Whitney, both of Cedar Rapids, and Earl R. Smith of Lansing, Mich. Funeral announcement will be made later. Friends may call at the chapel Thursday evening and at the home, 1212 Fourth street NW, Friday evening.

FUNERAL NOTICE, Cedar Rapids Gazette, Friday, June 1, 1934: John Mosburg Funeral - Funeral services for John E. Mosburg will be held in the Turner chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frank Ward and the Rev. S. E. Wright will officiate and burial will be made in Linwood cemetery. Friends may call at the home, 1212 Fourth street NW, Friday evening.
