George Russell Layton - Death Notice
Layton, George Russell, 90, retired Santa Fe Railroad employee for 38 years and WWII Veteran, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Bessie (Kenyon) Layton. Survivors include: wife of 45 years, Gloria Layton, Wichita; children, Bill (Janet) Wickham, Berryton, KS, Rick Wickham, Rose Hill, Marvin Layton, Little Rock, AR; sisters, Isabel Hunt, Scottsdale, AZ, and Maxine Huffman, Longview, TX; and one grandchild. Memorial service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, Affinity All Faiths Mortuary, 1525 N. Buckner, Derby. A memorial has been established with Robert J. Dole VA Hospital, 5500 E. Kellogg, Wichita, KS 67218.

George married Gloria Lee MOORE about 1968. (Gloria Lee MOORE was born on 20 Jul 1925,¹ died on 17 Aug 2013 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS ^{1 5} and was buried in Greenwood Cem, Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS ³.)
