bullet  General Notes:

Daniel "Danny" Otis Cline
1954-2005
Daniel (Danny) Otis Cline, born Sept. 13, 1954, joined his parents in Heaven on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005. He lived in Barberton, Ohio most of his life. He recently moved to Pikeville, Kentucky for an employment promotion. He was most recently employed by Arby's as a general manager, and has been in the food service business for 25 years.
Danny loved playing and watching football and baseball. As a newlywed in 1974, he managed a little league team in Ohio, bringing his team to a championship season. He was a winning All Star Little League coach the following season, while raising a family and working full time. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and has a collection of Cowboy's memorabilia. During 1980-81, when he and his family lived in Lake Nebagamon, Wis., Danny played on a softball team in Duluth for several seasons. He attended the University of Superior, Wis. for several quarters, while working in the Security Department at the University. Danny loved the outdoors: camping, canoeing, hunting, gardening, raising animals, looking at the night sky. He had a dream of building his own log cabin and homesteading, in a quiet rural forest, with his family. He and his wife had tapped trees on their land in Poplar, Wis., and made gallons of home-made maple syrup. He also loved music and played his guitar, both for church and for his family, as well as with friends. Danny was known for being a charming man who would do most anything for a neighbor (or stranger) in need. He was not a materialistic man, but was rich in his generosity and opening his door to others in need. He had a special relationship with his Bible and had dreamed of becoming a minister in his church, hoping to better the lives of others through his teachings.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Patterson Cline, in 1995 and his father, Ralph Cline, in 1997. Daniel is survived by the mother of his first three children, Kathryn (Taylor) Cline of Owatonna. He is survived by the mother of his second two children, Valerie Smith, of Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Theresa (Zelmevka) Cline, of Cuyahouga Falls, Ohio, mother of his last 5 children. In all, he left behind 10 children: Shannon (and Chris) Powers of Owatonna, Karolyn (and Jeremy) Helmsley of Owatonna, Cyndi (and David) Cline of Wisconsin. He also is survived by Daniel (and Amanda) Smith of Akron, Ohio, Martin Smith of Akron, Ohio. Other children include Nile (and Jessica), Emily, Rebedah, Seth and Mary Cline all of West Virginia. Daniel left behind his seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Jackson Lucas and Coralea Cline of Owatonna, Samuel and Kyra Helmsley of Owatonna, and Ailis Rose of Wisconsin. Also surviving are two of Daniel's brothers, Ronald (and Brenda) Cline, and "Bub" Cline, and one sister, Annette (and Eric) Keffer, all of Barberton Ohio, as well as many nephews and nieces.
